THE PRIVATE BEACH AREA
This lovely and private beach area is accessible to Kuleana residents and guests. Uncrowded, tranquil, and with a spectacular view of both Lanai and Molokai islands, it's the perfect place to unwind!
The Kuleana complex is one of the finest oceanfront locations on Maui. The views are always spectacular, but our small beach area tends to be affected by Mother Nature's tides. Sometimes, the tide produces a rich sandy beach, such as the photo above, and sometimes it washes it away somewhat resulting in a more rocky/sandy beach.
While this area is always convenient and inviting, be assured that you will be located within just a few minutes drive of some of Maui's other beautiful beaches - Kapalua, Napili, and Kaanapali. All just a few minutes drive away.
Our complex is almost always suitable for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and surfing.
SEA TURTLES: We have been delighted by a recent increase in the number of giant Sea Turtles which have chosen our shoreline as their feeding area. These giants of the sea, which are spotted daily, (mostly at sunrise and sunset, and at high-tide), can be as large as 5 feet in length, are truly an incredible sight! They are gentle and docile, and quite frequently their curiosity gets the best of them - you might even have one swim up next to you! (Note: these welcome guests are a delight to all, and we respectfully request that you keep a certain distance from them, refraining always from attempting to grab or otherwise handle them).
HUMBACK WHALES & SPINNER DOLPHINS: During the winter months, it is quite common to spot Humpback whales directly from the shoreline of our condos. Schools of Spinner Dolphins are likely to appear at any time of the year!
